Who is the Master?
Mr. Tanaka Ishiyaki
Mr. Tanaka, master of the Oribe-ryu Fusō School, is a devoted practitioner of Sadō, the Way of Tea. With decades of experience and a quiet yet commanding presence, he embodies the philosophy of Wa–Kei–Sei–Jaku — harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility. His movements are deliberate, his gestures refined, each reflecting the spirit of nature and impermanence. Guided by the teachings of Furuta Oribe, Mr. Tanaka has dedicated his life to sharing a form of tea that is both traditional and alive — where imperfection becomes beauty, and silence speaks of depth. Through his work, he continues to bridge the timeless heart of Japan with the sensibility of the modern world.
